LOGISTICS PLATFORM MANAGER

Reporting to the Italian top management, the candidate will be responsible for managing all activities at the logistics and storage platform, ensuring smooth, safe, and cost-effective operations. This includes leading operational teams, overseeing workflows, optimizing processes, and contributing to strategic planning.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and optimize all platform activities, including cargo reception, weighing, handling, storage, and dispatch.
- Ensure operations comply with safety, environmental, and quality standards.
- Supervise and coordinate approximately 15–20 staff involved in cargo handling and storage.
- Work closely with internal departments: Management, align on operational strategies and provide performance updates; Procurement, coordinate on equipment supply and maintenance needs; Commercial, align on customer expectations and service efficiency.

Candidate Profile:
- Studies in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or related fields is preferred.
- Solid experience in managing logistics or terminal operations, ideally (but not necessarily required) in a port or bulk cargo environment.
- Strong understanding of terminal equipment and cargo handling procedures.
- Good knowledge of both English and Italian is required.
- Team leadership and coordination; Strong organizational and planning abilities; Proactive problem-solving and sound decision-making; Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; Strong focus on results and continuous improvement.
