Our Client is a prestigious multinational company operating in the field of advanced naval technologies. With the aim of strengthening its internal staff, we have been entrusted with the selection of the following professional figure:
Activities and Responsibilities In this role, the Planner will take care of the following activities:
• Support the Project Manager, verifying the planning consistency with the contractual requirements and compatibility with the needs of the functions involved (engineering, finance, procurement… );
• Define the WBS (Work Breakdown Structure) according to program requirement;
• Prepare and update the Master Schedule, as the program reference for all functions, and implement the monitoring and update of the Master Schedule in compliance with all stakeholders;
• Support the Lead Project Engineer and the Purchasing Coordinator respectively in the monitoring of the engineering plans and in the monitoring of the supply program;
• Preparation of the project planning control documents (Milestones Plan, Top-Down Schedule, Progress Curves, Reporting,…)
• Establish, together with Data Manager, the overall detailed scheduled embedded in the MDR (Master Document register)
• Develop program simulations on relevant issues and/or on the feasibility of strategic choices;
• Establish and monitor program KPI’s in accordance with Company’s procedure;
• Check the feasibility of suppliers’ schedule, with relative deliverables, in accordance with program schedule;
• Monitor Sub-contractor performance;
• Incorporate program deviation and re-issuance and re-evaluation of program baseline, in assistance to Project Manager;
• Identification of Schedule Critical Paths in accordance with Project Manager indications;
• Collaborate with Functions to develop detailed programs and integration between Functions on critical paths.
• Provide feedback/suggestion to the Program Manager to improve effectiveness and efficiency of the program;
• Preparation of all fields planning procedure activities in accordance with Company’s procedure Profile
• Degree in Managerial or Naval Engineering;
• Previous work experience of at least 2 years, matured in a similar role in companies operating by order;
• Excellent level of knowledge of the English language, both written and spoken; Knowledge of French/Italian is a plus.
• Ability to use Excel and good level of knowledge of SAP. Knowledge of Oracle Primavera and MS Project will be preferred.
• Personal characteristics such as flexibility, strong interpersonal skills, ability to team-working; complete the problem-solving profile, economic and organizational sensitivity, result orientation. It is also required the availability to travel in Italy and abroad.
